Warrior + Applique

The Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle fitted with applique armor represented a significant upgrade to the British Army's primary mechanized infantry vehicle, enhancing its survivability in high-threat combat environments. Introduced to provide greater protection against heavy machine-gun fire, autocannon rounds, and battlefield fragmentation, the applique armor package added external armor panels to the hull and turret while retaining the Warrior's mobility and firepower. Armed with the reliable 30mm RARDEN cannon and capable of carrying a section of infantry into battle, the upgraded Warrior proved its worth during operations in the Gulf War and later conflicts, where increased protection against enemy fire and urban threats was essential. Combining rugged reliability, improved armor protection, and effective infantry support capabilities, the applique-armored Warrior became one of the most recognizable and battle-proven armored vehicles in British service.
